I have RubyMotion Starter 4.10 and Xcode 7.3 which comes with iOS SDK 9.3. In Xcode, I downloaded the iOS 9.2 simulator.
app.deployment_target = '9.2' in my application's
When I run
rake, I get the following:
WARNING! The available SDK (9.3) is newer than the latest available RubyMotion BridgeSupport metadata (9.2). The `sdk_version` and `deployment_target` settings will be configured accordingly.
ERROR! You are using RubyMotion Starter. Only iOS 9.2 is supported in this release. If you would like to target older or newer (in beta) versions of iOS you can purchase a paid subscription.
According to Download, I would expect the Starter edition to be able to build for an iOS 9.2 deployment target.
Also, in MarkVillacampa's post on November 2, 2015, it says:
RubyMotion Starter will always work with the latest stable versions of Xcode and iOS.
In the future, we will try to schedule RubyMotion Starter releases with stable releases of Xcode, so automatic Xcode updates via the AppStore will not cause any trouble.
So, did the Starter release not get scheduled this time with the stable release of Xcode, or am I doing something wrong?
